VISA Information

A visitor visa my be required to enter Tanzania.  Visas can be obtained online through https://eservices.immigration.go.tz/visa/ or on arrival. .   Please check your countries requirements before booking flights.  

Vaccinations / Health Information

Current COVID requirements to enter Tanzania:

COVID – Fully Vaccinated

To qualify as full vaccinated you should have gone for either 3 doses for those require 3 or 1 dose for vaccination like J&J. For example, if the vaccination requires 3 doses and you have taken 2 doses that’s mean that you are not full vaccinated and therefore you will require PCR test to inter into Tanzania.  

  • No test result is required to enter
  • No test on arrival unless there are symptoms

COVID – Non-vaccinated

  • Unvaccinated travelers visiting Tanzania must a present negative result from a COVID-19 RT- PCR or NAATs with QR code within 72 hours before departure

To return to your home country:  if a COVID-19 Tests is required, we will set up testing for you in Tanzania.  Once you have booked your travel, we will schedule a test for 1-3 days before traveling.   More details to follow.

Other Health / Vaccination Information for Entering Tanzania:

YELLOW FEVER

  • Yellow fever vaccination is mandatory for travelers arriving from Yellow fever endemic countries however we advise all clients to enter with a yellow fever certificate.  Travelers should visit their local Doctor or Travel Clinic for advice. 

MALARIA

  • Tanzania (although very low risk) is a malaria area, travelers should visit their local Doctor or Travel Clinic for advice on what medication to take. 

Attendance and local vaccination for the club trips are voluntary. A list of suggested vaccinations for travel to this location is provided, however, it is up to each employee to work with their doctor on decisions regarding the vaccinations and medications right for them and each individual situation. It is recommended that any routine examinations, preventive services, vaccines, and medication refills are completed prior to travel. Epicor does not reimburse for out-of-pocket medical expenses.

Attire

Please note luggage weight restrictions:  We will be taking Cessna Caravan C208B EX Aircrafts to/from the Serengeti Airstrip.  Please note luggage is limited to 15kgs ( 30 lbs) per person packed in light weight duffle bags and (1)  5kg carry-on bag that can fit under the seat in front of you.  There are no overhead bins on this flight.  

Suggested Attire:

  • KHAKI, GREEN, BEIGE AND NEUTRAL COLOURS (DARK BLUE AND BLACK CLOTHING SHOULD BE AVOIDED AS IT ATTRACTS TSETSE FLIES)
  • SHIRTS WITH LONG SLEEVES (EVEN IN SUMMER, FOR PROTECTION FROM THE SUN, MOSQUITOES AND TSETSE FLIES)
  • T-SHIRTS
  • SHORTS OR A LIGHT SKIRT
  • JEANS OR SAFARI TROUSERS FOR EVENINGS AND COOLER DAYS
  • A JACKET AND SWEATER ARE RECOMMENDED FOR EARLY-MORNING AND EVENING GAME DRIVES
  • LIGHTWEIGHT, WATERPROOF JACKET
  • SWIM AND BEACHWEAR
  • COMFORTABLE WALKING SHOES
  • SUNSCREEN, SUNGLASSES, HAT, MOISTURIZER AND LIP SALVE ARE ALL ESSENTIALS
  • STRONG INSECT REPELLENT
  • BINOCULARS AND CAMERA EQUIPMENT

The Four Seasons is equipped with a first-aid clinic, we suggest that you bring a small, airtight container with a few well-chosen articles, such as bandages, travel-sickness tablets, antiseptic cream, antihistamine cream, pain-relieving tablets for headaches, indigestion tablets, sunscreen, eye drops, insect repellent, medication for upset stomachs and after-sun moisturizer. We remind travelers who have any allergies, such as to insect stings, or an asthma condition to pack the required medication. Please remember to bring any prescribed medication.
