Denis Pelych is a digital transformation advisor for Made Smarter in the West Midlands. Denis is a chartered mechanical engineer who transitioned into management consultancy with IBM back in the 90's. Initially, he specialised in business-IT strategy and transformation, which including senior leadership roles in industry and government SME technology adoption programmes. He returned to management consulting within major systems integrators for the latter part of his career, delivering complex IT systems for rail and manufacturing clients. As a result he is able to provide pragmatic advice based on a wide range of knowledge & experience in IT strategy, planning & delivery, to help SMEs successfully exploit digital technologies and maximise their growth potential.

Gareth Thomas is the Managing Director of Data Yard, the industry-led product data platform for the UK building materials sector. Jamie Mcleod is a Director in Crowe UK's Customs and International Trade team. Jamie works with businesses to manage the practicalities of cross-border trade, including customs compliance, duty mitigation, and supply chain planning. Jamie has a particular interest in the EU and UK’s Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanisms (CBAM), especially in the metals sector, and supports clients in meeting their reporting obligations. His work often involves helping organisations make better use of customs data and digital solutions to improve visibility, support compliance, and inform trade decisions

Mark is a highly experienced product marketer who has worked for a variety of manufacturing software providers over the last two decades. He has experience across EMEA, APAC & North America and holds ASCM CPIM & CSCP accreditations. Mark is committed to helping manufacturing organisations improve their operational effectiveness.

Nina Gryf is a Senior Policy Manager at Make UK, where she leads the Unlocking Innovation campaign to show how innovation and technology can improve productivity and competitiveness in UK manufacturing. She runs the Innovation Monitor, which tracks how manufacturers are adopting digital tools on the ground.

Nina champions faster digital adoption and calls for stronger government backing on skills, funding, and support for advanced technologies. She’s a strong advocate for programmes like Made Smarter and pushes for their continues support.

Her key publications include 4IR: An Enabler to Green Manufacturing, Manufacturing Our Recovery Through Inclusion, and most recently, Future Factory powered by AI, which explores how manufacturers are starting to adopt AI and what support they need to do it safely and at scale.

Before this, Nina led post-Brexit trade campaigns and worked as External Affairs Manager at the Work Foundation.

Mike Wilson has over 40 years of experience in the application of automation to manufacturing across a broad range of industry sectors and is widely recognised as one of the leading authorities on the application of robot systems in the UK.

Mike is Chief Automation Officer at the Manufacturing Technology Centre, leading the drive to increase the adoption of robotics and automation in the UK. He was awarded ‘The Manufacturer Top 100’ status as one of the top 100 people in UK manufacturing in 2018. He is also Visiting Professor of Robotics & Automation at Loughborough University, Chair of the UK Automation Forum, Director of the Manufacturing Technologies Association, Council member of the British Automation and Robot Association and has previously been Chairman of the International Federation of Robotics. His book “Implementation of Robot Systems” was published in 2014.

Paul is a senior Product Marketing Manager with global responsibility for Sustainability in Epicor. Before that, Paul worked in a variety of Product and Marketing Management roles in the Telecoms, Finance, Cyber Security, and Cloud industries.

Peter Black is a strategic, people-first leader with over 24 years of experience in ERP and digital transformation.
