Gen2 automatically detects both day of the week and month of year patterns, yielding more accurate predictions of daily demands and on-hand stocking levels. • Supplier Lead Time Simulation Traditional methods average the lead time and apply a one-size-fits-all lead time buffer that misallocates stock and provides no protection from supplier hiccups. Gen2 prescribes stocking policies based on simulated lead times that better reflect all the variability in supplier performance. • Hands-free Machine Learning Traditional approaches force end-users to decide how much history to consider when forecasting, resulting in one-size-fits-all approaches that use too much or too little history. Gen2’s ML algorithms analyze all the data and custom select the right amount of history for each item, yielding a more accurate forecast.
