Name
EE4: Creating Complex Automations with Business Process Management (BPM)
Date & Time
Sunday, August 23, 2026, 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM
Description

Program Level: Advanced

Go beyond a basic understanding of Business Process Management (BPM) during this advanced session.

You will first learn how to create a BPM directive that monitors data entry and then uses Collaborate to notify specific users about data changes. You next learn how to create a BPM directive that interacts with a custom layer. You first use Application Studio to create a layer that adds a drop-down list. You then set up a directive that monitors this drop-down list. When users select a value from this list, it populates other fields with default values. Then lastly you will create a BPM directive that displays the total weight of shipments in Customer Shipment Entry. The directive will capture the weight of the parts on each shipment detail line and then total this value on the shipment header.

Note: If you are not familiar with BPMs, you are encouraged to first take the EE 1: Learning How to Automate with Business Process Management (BPM) course before this advanced session.
