Program Level: Beginner The purpose of this session is to gain understanding of how the core manufacturing and cash cycle transactions interact with the General Ledger (GL). This session will allow you to understand the GL setup and hierarchy used by the Kinetic application. You will learn how to identify the accounts and journal codes and understand where and when inventory, labor, burden, Work in Process, manufacturing variances, accounts receivable, and accounts payable transactions post to the General Ledger. Cost: There is an additional $350 fee to attend this session. Objectives: • Perform GL Control Code setup to leverage the transaction hierarchy capabilities of the application. • Understand the relationship between GL Transaction Types, GL Control Types, and GL Control Codes and how they are used. • Understanding of what Epicor defines as Product Groups and Part Classes.  Where they are used and how changes can have a financial impact. • Comprehending Work in Process, Manufacturing Variances, and Completion of Jobs and how the Costs flow to the General Ledger. • Perform inventory and labor transactions to analyze the impact of the GL Control Code setup. • Understanding of the difference in the flow for AP Invoices when using Purchase to stock vs Purchase Direct. • Complete a Cash Cycle (AR Invoice, cash receipt, AP Invoice, supplier payment) and review related GL transactions. • Identify core reports and trackers used to maintain the GL integrity.
