Program Level: Beginner 

This session introduces the primary functions of the Material Requirements Planning (MRP) module. It covers the use of MRP tools to both estimate potential demand and propose the supply that answers this demand using a forecast, master production schedule, and sales order as a demand source. Finally, you will review some issues that may occur with the MRP process during different stages of an MRP run and learn how to identify and resolve them. 

This session is also offered as EE 35.  

Cost: There is an additional $350 fee to attend this session. 

Objectives: 

  • Identify factors that affect material requirements planning performance and learn about important MRP settings 

  • Understand the difference between Part Detail and Inventory Demand 

  • Learn how to generate and read different log types 

  • Identify issues that may occur with each MRP run
